The main difference between perfect bound and saddle-stitch booklets is the type of product used to hold the pages together. Perfect bound books are made by glueing the cover and pages at the spine before trimming the edges for an even finish. In contrast, saddle-stitch binding uses in-line wire staples. These booklets are quicker and more cost-effective to produce, offering the highest quality at the lowest price.

Booklets are only available in four-page increments because each sheet of paper is folded in half and saddle-stitched in the middle. This process results in four pages for the booklet, with both halves of the sheet having two sides.
As a result, every time you add one sheet, you get four more pages, and vice versa. If the total number of pages in your booklet isn’t a multiple of four, no problem. Our online printing experts can include blank pages at the beginning or end of your booklet so that it can be binded. Just let us know and we’ll take care of it!
The number of pages your booklet can have depends on the nature of the information you are presenting, its intended purpose and your budget. Remember that a typical booklet features four pages on one sheet of paper. For example, a booklet with two sheets of paper contains eight pages and so on.
Therefore, we recommend limiting your booklet to 24 pages or less. This helps the booklet as a whole to remain lightweight and concise, and every page to be rich with content!
